Damn that sucks! It hits about 98-99 here on a daily basis lately. Next week it's suppose to drop down to the mid 80s. Hopefully

well, about an hour ago (just as soon as he backed my car outta the garage for a nice wipe down), the clouds rolled in and dumped what appears to have been a wet, slippery substance all over the place.

i vaguely remember what this stuff was called - either way, it hasn't happened in a while.

I never said that Dallas is more humid than Houston or that Phoenix is ALWAYS hotter than Houston.

But Dallas avg's close to the same humidity as Houston year round.....and HIGHER temps year round...and Phoenix...forget it...no comparison.

In other words...Dallas and Phoenix both have overall hotter summers than Houston...I know it's hard to accept and the popular thing to believe is the other way around...

I've been in Dallas the past few days. Ridiculously hot.

I've got car temp readings that show 115 and 116 that were both late afternoon out towards Irving.

HOUSTON— The heat advisory continues Sunday as we're expected to see temperatures reach the triple digits once again, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.

Highs are forecasted to top off around 102 degrees Sunday, and they should stay above the century mark through the middle of next week. In fact, it appears the extremely dry conditions are sticking around for a while.

“We're going to go through probably another week of 100-degree temperatures. Tomorrow we will tie the record for most number of 100-degree days in Houston ever recorded during the summer season."

The current record sits at 32.

I love Belle Chasse. Its small town country life, no crime, dont have to lock your doors at night. but then 8 miles away is downtown New Orleans when I want to go out and do things.

Two bodies found in Joshua Tree National Park.

Let's remember high temperatures are no joke. I drive this road and many others by myself in my 4x4 van all the time. The environment here is very very harsh. And we've had a mild summer. Be prepared.

Well, I guess I've jinxed us here in San Antonio participating in this thread. Compared to Dallas, we've been avoiding the extreme temps the last month. Now we're gonna get it for a few days....God I can't wait for this summer to be over....I keep thinking my A/C's are going to stop working...I would take high 90's with 90% humidity in a sec over these temps...

I just hate that we haven't gotten ANY rain in so long....this has been one crazy summer this year....I thought I got away from this moving away from Arizona...
