Sorry to bring this back, but the truth is coming out, Originally I though the ramp up in price of bitcoin was due to whole network marketing scheme of getting more and more people buying in driving an unnatural demand. In fact it appears it was all manipulated, someone was messing with MT Gox systems and used it to makes lots of trades to drive up the value. This is what happen when you put blind trust in a system you do not understand.

Anyone been buying cryptocurrency? (Bitcoin, Ethereum)
Tripled my investment in the past few weeks. Anyone in on this crypto-boom?

Aiming to get on an e-terrorist watch list?
PERSONALLY, although I have a large portion of my daily duties/income to attribute to these igits, I can't STAND those that profit off the e-misery of others. There are some things that I just won't take the potential profit from on account of personal morals. Similar to those who call up little old ladies to tell them their grandchildren are in jail, and gma needs to go buy gift cards at Target to get them out. I witnessed one who came into the PD, she was distraught in tears because Target was smart enough NOT to sell to her, and she was so worried her grandkids were being tormented in a Mexican prison. TEARS, probably heart palpitations, and lost a few of the already reduced remaining years of her life. |

Why is crypto-currency going up? Because scum are writing programs to disrupt businesses and personal users. You are buying coins to profit from said jump in the value. You are supporting e-terrorism
I work IT, and therefore make money in the constant battle to try to protect computers, both in business and home use. So while I make a living in the trenches, I wish I didn't have to. Clear enough? |

I'm staying away. Looks just like a speculative bubble that will eventually burst like gold, oil, property, stocks, even tulips. It usually goes like this. They create some interest and false demand for something, while also limiting supply, which pushes the price up. Soon even average Joes are buying it and bragging about their profits. If you get out at this stage you can actually make money, but the tendency is to get back in and buy more when you see the price continue to rise. But eventually the money supply and the demand dries up, the bubble bursts so the price crashes and everyone loses their investment.

Dude I'm still trying to explain here why child labor is bad to one American, and I've been trying yo penetrate his stupid skull for two years now. My official advice is that you give up, and uphold yourself to a higher standard.

Nope. As soon as nations float their own crypto. and ban physical cash in the process, you can kiss bitcoin goodbye.
Bitcoin is acting more like gold. If you can't convert it into currency it's not worth a whole lot.

NO, not a scam at all, perish the thought. It is a very sound investment process, as documented by that established economist Mr. Ponzi. Now go out there and talk it up bigly!!

Its a "PONZI" .. its only value is that attributed by people (greater fools)
if its not a ponzi, then its an effort to get people into electronic assets to get rid of paper currencies what has me VERY skeptical is that few nations are outlawing this medium even though its a potential competitor to national currencies considering what nations are willing to do to defend their currencies its very suspicious to me that all nations with coordinated central banking under the BIS are tolerating a competing electronic currency backed by NOTHING they WILL write about our crazy times in future financial history books (you know.. the books people NEVER read) how people put their blind faith into worthless things (once again.. cause it happened before with disastrous results) and turned a blind eye to the profits of constant WAR as a basis of an economy |

My friend has profited around 200k from bitcoin, and he takes out small amounts of currency at a time. Most of the people investing know it's only a matter of time, but until then, you invest and wait till that very moment and you cash out before it happens.
