I help fund a large animal rescue and rehab center, we get injured animals all of the time. You talk about reading stories and how worked up you get. You know the whole "if I EVERRRR see this person..."

We just rescued a dog, the owners didn't want to walk it so they broke her legs so that she wouldn't always want to go outside. It's taken every self control cell in my body to keep from showing up to their house with a chainsaw...

Ask your dog if he/she wants to go for a walk... That genuine and pure excitement is something most of us will never personally experience for the rest of our lives (I feel like most of it went away once you learn Santa isn't real, haha).

In other words...I really can trust my dog , but can't say that from people .

A dog taught me how to walk, the same dog walked me to and from school every day for 8 years. My other dog when I was a kid loved to arrange me in situations I still can't believe actually happened.

When I moved out from my parents house, I had one plate, one fork and a knife, a puppy, and a bag of food for her to pack. Until last August the damn dog followed me everywhere, took care of my children, made sure no strange men touched me (she positioned herself in between and gave them this look that scared anyone away), hated every man I've ever dated and given the opportunity: Kicked them out of my bed.
