This car and the XM are in desperate need of a stage1 tune. The S68 is super watered down for some reason.. Maybe for efficiency to pass the emission standards? Who knows.

If the M5 had a nicer steering wheel without the ugly M1/M2 buttons and plastics, and a proper center console it would've been great.

The weight, you cant do much about that.

Maybe the rear bumper should've gotten a different design but in all black it hides the ferrari fog light thing with a missing diffuser pretty well.

These M5s will be monsters on stage1, 900 to 1000hp at the crank for sure.

Still trying to get used to the looks, inside and out. Still not registering it as a BMW M5.

Well shot and edited in terms of the video images. Black is the best color for this model. Hope you love your purchase.

I mean it’s definitely the best looking G90 I’ve seen. When it’s all black, it really mutes some of the oddities from a design perspective (rear diffuser) - I think all black exterior with a different interior color will be stunning. Black on black is a little boring (to me).

Not sure I’m huge on that illuminated front grill.

On paper. Ask the tuned trackhawk or hellcat owner about it, it does a lot over 1000nm

Agree. Would even consider mounting M steering wheel without ugly red stripe or enormous M buttons. From 5 series or 7 series. If they would function without any faults.

Never understood this logic either. I mean where do you draw the line? 700+ for a street car is not sufficient? I have never been on a racetrack, so maybe that is where there is an issue with the power being insufficient. If BMW released the car with 1500 hp someone would probably still be on here talking about insufficient power or a tune.

I'd watched quite a few of the reviews for the new DB12, and a couple of comments stuck with me: one was a guy who said that it felt like a car for a world that doesn't exist, and another kept calling the power 'unusable.' I think the M5 pushes that envelope, particularly in non-autobahn-having countries.

I think it is so cheesy. I would disable it if I chose to buy one of the new bimmers that have it. Another goofy design choice for BMW.
