At least they didn’t add the oversized kidney grills that make up for 75% of the front end

Has anyone seen an Engineering justification for the odd front/rear tire sidewall application here, and on the G80 previously? IMO this looks hideous and is backwards from what I’ve noticed on some race cars (taller more compliant sidewall in the rear, not the front).

To a certain extent this is true in the short term. But anyone who follows M car prices knows that E30 M3’s are stoopid money for good examples and even E9x M3’s are fetching more now than when I sold mine several years ago.

The i5 is also responsible for the hood that goes straight back from the grille with no curvature, trying to hide the elevated belt line also the result of lifting the cabin for the battery. The whole car looks like a series of compromises. The 5 was getting better looking with age right up to the G30/90 (ok, the E was an anomaly), but now seems to have taken several leaps backwards. Shame. |

If one wants to find a viable alternative to the new M5, what would it be? I can’t find one. The new design is what it is and the sales numbers will most likely tell a successful story.

I need to see it in person to make a judgement. Doesn't look horrible. Kinda like an E-Class. Not sure I'd buy one. But the last F90 M5 was pure perfection.

I was so excited to see the pics when I peaked and saw the headline….ugh
I think the wagon will be the winner of the G9x line up. Still waiting to see the full release and various colors on them and in different lighting.. But damn is this super underwhelming. No hips. No muscular build. And we can’t be THAT blinded by the camouflage that still remains…right? We’ll just continue to wait and see…unfortunately

I like the designs of the car .. but and but I have Questions:
1. Who designed this generation? 2. Is wights official ? 3. What transmission they will use ? 4. Will it be successor to the f90 M5 generation? Thanks . |

I'm not sure what to say or even think about this whale of an M5 anymore. The weight class alone is a complete turn off. Then the mundane looks on top of that is a recipe for a monstrosity. Look what they did to the XM. No matter how much tech you try to pack in one chassis, once you push that over weight hard around a track, you're going to get laughed at by F90 owners...

I’m just happy they made it longer, that’s what she said.
No but seriously, no reason to continuously make a larger vehicle larger. I can tell you there is zero demand for it especially for the m5 |

The cadi is an awesome car. Drives looks and sounds like the car we all want here. I honestly think this m5 isn’t it. I want to be wrong. I’m looking for a reason to get this m5 and trade out iof my 23 x5mc which I love but want to get back in a car. This dam thing is going to weight as much as that? What is the point? The cadi weighs around 4400 ish lbs I believe. |
