Thoughts of new M5

I am very big fan of wagons and was considering to get rs6 for a very long time. Now that BMW mentioning to bring wagon into the states, I am thinking to get one as well as a current owner of bmw.

I have never owned M or RS cars, was always in middle segment of m440 and s5.

My kid is getting bigger and was thinking maybe its time to get M5 perhaps? What are your thoughts on new M5 with plugin system. How do you think it will stack up with other M5?

I doubt members here have more factual information than you, if you have been paying any attention to the information released by BMW and the online videos of the release. There really is not much in terms of the sedan and pretty much nothing for the station wagon. The engine is similar to what is in the XM, but I believe there are some differences. I think we still need to wait and see.

That make sense. But with all that extra weight they claim due to plug in, do you think it will be worth the car?
Assuming you buying m5 not to save of your gas stops. Something tells me that, the plugin system will be useless due to the nature of the car it self. Making me thing that you will be carrying extra 1k in weight for no real reason.

Garage List
RS6 looks better and weighs less. I would get one of those before they are gone.

Or, you could wait for the upcoming RS7 Avant. The RS7 Avant will be the next gen RS6, since Audi is changing their lineups so that all EV cars are even numbers (A4, A6) and the ICE cars are odd number (A3, A5, A7). Renderings of the RS7 Avant look much cooler than the M5 Touring.

My vote is wait to see it and drive it before making any sort of definitive decision. Definitely, 100% definitely, do not let the incessant "hate" drive any decisions. I've added some to ignore but only because their comments are, to some extent, demoralizing! Just not enjoyable to read and I want to see positive comments...since I am buying it

Design

I drove an F90 (2019) for allmost 2 years as my everyday car, but I like the new design better (makes the car more special).

Please remember: this is my personal opinion.

I have driven an F90 M5 for the past 6 years and I think the G90 is the perfect evolution for the next generation of M5's. We know an all-electric M5 is coming, and this is the gateway to that.

Honestly this is the silliest most immature thing I’ve heard from anyone in a long time. Your spending that kind of money and you want horse blinders on? That is ridiculous honestly. Are you 12 bro? Come on. You only want positive comments to re enforce your decision? You hear how ridiculous you sound?
