Where are all the Weighters (HATERS) commenting on this vid? Car looks heavy in the way it slides but from the inside video you don’t see any untoward body movements and his manipulation of the steering wheel to induce drift seems perfectly normal. (ie not like it’s a fat plowing pig entering corners). Personally I found the video to be reassuring.

This right here. Personally for me it’s not so much the weight but how it looks. Looks bloated, not lean and that diffuser is hurrendous in my opinion. No side vents? Having to plug the car in to maximize the power? The glow in the front? Ehhhhh

The good thing about everyone giving their 2 cents is that you don't HAVE to buy the new M5. Don't like the way it looks or its too heavy etc.... then move on and get a different car?

no way... the front doesn't look to bad but not like it's a completely new design look like when G8X came out it doesn't look good TBH looks strange and of course big af and heavy with unnecessary batteries would rather they made it Full EV car would be much more popular or just updated From F90 with more power and no batteries

Throttle House nailed it for me, it's a splendid proposition and a technical marvel, but it's no longer delivering beyond expectation vehicle dynamics because of the weight. That it can drift was to be expected, no?

which is great, because the consensus is that it isn’t anywhere near as liked as the f90 or previous gens. No way it does near the sales volume.

that and the firing of the current design team means we will be moving AWAY from this design language in the future.

there is a reason e39s are rocketing in value.

The G80/82 had the same debacle as everyone swore off the grill yet it’s still selling like hot bread and it’s volume compared to previous M3(and 4 I suppose), is looking to be higher throughout its lifespan.

BMW isn’t moving from this design language sorry to break it to you.
