I’m not surprised it’s got a slower 0-60 time than the F90 but curious about the quarter mile time and its trap speed. I also suspect his Vbox is configured with 1ft rollout omitted. His M5 CS time to 60 was 2.75s, which is maybe doable with perfect DA, roads, warm tires, etc but I don’t think anyone with a press car on a random UK road was going to do that — so add .2/.3 second back in and you’re a bit closer to
BMW quoted acceleration times.

It is. I talked to Joe. The 1 ft roll out featured was enabled. Mine was disabled. The delta was too large betwen our runs

The 50-80mph is faster than the f90, but I'm curious on the 60-130 and 1/4 mile trap speeds.

everyone is lol... when does someone finally get one on their hands?

also... the launch itself was horrid by everyone... virtually everyone had insane wheel hop... now that can happen due to a slightly moist environment... or a poorly setup suspension... so we whall see

Everyone talking like they can tell the difference between 2.9 and 3.5 seconds 0-60 because that and weight are the two things they can complain about. The market will decide if the new M5 makes sense, but overall I am sure it will sell fine.

Compare that to the XM which, as far as I can tell, has absolutely bombed. I really wanted to like it, but the weird looks, disco headliner with no sunroof and poor integration between the electric and gas motors killed it for me. But hey, you can get a decent lease deal on the XM now!

There was an article recently which said the XM was the 2nd worst-selling BMW model on the current lineup, only behind the Z4.

XM is 165k car to start and the Z4 is a 2 seat convertible with no back seat. In either case both are niche vehicles and won't be a volume seller. If the XM was 95k it would sell like hot cakes.
