That is actually slower than the current m5 comp. Caranddriver had it at 2.8 seconds.

Knowing the way bmw is quite modest regarding HP numbers and 0-100 times , that car is definitely over claimed 727 hp and definitely under 3.5 sec to 100 , the only thing i’d trust them with is the weight of the car and even that one might be over the real number , either way , definitely doesnt perform worse than f90

C&D uses 1ft rollout. Also not sure how accurate going by the speedo to 62 here is, I think the jury is still out. Its close though.

Apple to orange comparaison, C&D numbers are for 60mph not to 62mph they are corrected for many factors. This is real world test.

0.2 subtracted so the times are the same for the g90 but the g90 is at 62 mph not 60 and we know what happens from there it’s good bye to the F90 M5C. F90 M5C will most likely be the faster car on the track but it’s slower in acceleration. G90 even trounces the M5 CS in rolling acceleration.

Well, it is as quick as the M3 Competition X drive.
This M5 should at least have 900hp to offset that huge weight gain and make it an appealing car to the enthusiasts. I was totally ready to buy it and give my F90 to my brother, but I canceled this plan when I watched the reveal. Despite the extra weight, mediocre performance, and controversial look, this 5 Series generation has a very cheap interior quality and options. I have driven the i5 M60 and was shocked how horrible the materials quality there! |
