The M5 trunk lid and tail light design are not bad at all, but that yellow section that divides the rear diffuser makes it look like Gorlock the Destroyer wearing yellow bikini bottoms. Simply remove the rear bumper and replace it with a diffuser that goes all the way across the bumper without that divider, and it would look much better.

I do a lot of road trips out of state.

I think I’ll go bold color with next BMW which I suspect will be the overly complicated new M5.

Here's what the competition looks like in yellow for comparison.

For the record, for me, I think RS6 styling is a bit too over the top with the exaggerated rear bumper outer edges, but overall looks the best of the yellow bunch.

Interesting how dated the E63 and even the RS6 design look now. I’m still wrapping my head around the M5T diffuser styling, but the yellow is such a bold contrast that it doesn’t leave any middle ground - love or hate, no in between.

The Mercedes is certainly on the plain/frumpy side.

The RS6 looks much better in person than the straight-on rear photo is doing justice.

I really want to like this car. But if I were in the market for something this massive, I’d get the RS6 Avant and it not even close.

The RS6 is a great car, I love mine. But I want a performance wagon that is a PHEV so my options are pretty limited for now…..

RS6 is one of the most beautiful avants out there, but that diffuser is just plain ugly. Needs to be changed asap. Let's wait for new RS7 Avant.

Merc looks very dated and M5 kind of like it.
