Thanks for posting! Obviously a leviathan, and clearly useless for hooning on your favourite twisty backroads. But any V8 estate car in this day and age--particularly here in puritan UK--is frankly exotic.

Meanwhile, is it just me or does the back end on the Touring here look far more acceptable than the way the saloon's high boot meets its overly thick rear bumper? The sheer bulbousness still can't be ignored; but it has been somehow ameliorated.

Assuming that’s the first in the uk, does that go to the uk press fleet? Or will it end up in bmw uk dealership in Park Lane?

Is it just me but does this thing kind of look like a granny car especially in comparison to the other wagons out today? Maybe that's the goal to be understated but for an M it just doesn't do it for me in this color.

Now I saw one in matte black and that looked a whole lot different. Like this one below.

Getting an M-wagon is a win (especially for wagon fans in the US) , albeit a debatable design in many ways. My primarily issue with all newly designed BMWs is the grill. First they gave us the buckteeth on the G8x’s, which I have come to accept, nay, like even. But then they made these smaller grill designs using a center pierce that’s solid? It might just be me but… it ruins the front end of all new BMWs for me.

Maybe I’ll get used to it… 😆

I would assume it would become part of the UK Press Fleet.

I have always been a fan of BMW and Audi fast wagons but this looks almost obese. I rather get an X5M, in the same color I might add, and have more space, speed, and not worry about charging.

IOMG is being over used by M now. Reminds of Brooklyn Grey that is way too common of a color.

Ok, I kind of get it. The wagon lands somewhere in between a sedan and an suv. Sits lower like a proper sedan but has extra storage space, although not quite as much as an suv... I guess you can rip around and use it as a daily driver and then throw a few duffle bags in the back and head up to the lake on the weekend. Or something like that... I just think it's proving hard, design-wise, for BMW to do something elegant with that bulbous ass end. It seems counterintuitive to me that you would be wanting an M car and then choose this one. You would have to 'normally' haul just the right amount of stuff to justify this purchase. Just a little more than would fit in an M5, I guess. Just seems like a little too much of a design sacrafice to justify a little extra storage.

I do know that some people will be ecstatic to land one of these, so congrats when you do. It is a unique vehicle for sure.

This is an issue with most EVs. Most people bying EVs will be shocked and the price of new tires and how quickly they melted...

Overused feels like becasue its all over one website - promo.

In real life though? I have seen 3 cars in this color. in 3 years. So Id say we gotta be real what we mean when we say overused.

I mean it is a header in this forum too, you see it daily. Its overused in digital media. not in real life.

Brooklyn grey - its all grey to me. I barely notice. Best part about G M cars is the fun colors people use finally.

It’s quite wide , I’m sure there will be some sphincter clenching moments driving this down some of our country roads?

Tail light is certainly different from the sedan. Not sure if it’s better but I’m excited to see this car in person.
