Need help with paint repair for my 320i

Hello,

Today while parking my car in reverse there was a very short bollard that I didn't see and I slighly hit the back of my g20.

The damage appears to be hopefully only on the surface-level on the paint and ceramic coating.

What do you suggest me to do? Would some polishing compound like this Meguiar ultimate compound do the trick or?

Thanks so much

Paint looks cracked, to me & bumper cover dented. Judicious application of heat might help the dent but could further affect the paint. Will probably need a fix & respray.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Would a heat gun work? I imagine this is something I need a pro to look into and not something I can fix myself?

As said, the cracked paint means rubbing, filling and a blast of paint. Heat gun would only really help if the shape had gone. Would be amazed it was more than a few hundred in a body shop to put right.

If you could get a rattle can match you could probably even do a decent job yourself. Bit of wet and dry to flatten, pictures are hard to see if there is a dent, light coat of body filler if there is, rub down and paint, area looks small so you would hardly notice a decent attempt unless you were to point it out 👍🏼
