G90 M5 lowered on H&R springs

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
H&R released a set of lowering springs for the new M5.

The drop looks just right 👌

The car will be on display at the H&R booth (Hall 7/Stand 7A.10) at the upcoming Essen Motorshow starting 29th November.

I think it looks perfect with this drop.....

Actually hate seeing 99% of the other cars with drops....they don't look classy. They are too low. Sorry not sorry.

Most Euro cars used to have larger wheel gaps back in the 2000's.....they all are at an optimal height for the last 10 years or so, though. It's just wasted money to drop them more....

Still not a fan of the design. People just get used to it if there isn't any other vehicle in the market that offers similar features and similar quality for similar price. The same happened with the M3/M4 and G70.

That’s a perfect drop, and that’s all you need, eliminate the wheel gaps and keep it classy.
Can never go wrong with H&R springs, always a perfect drop and top notch quality. Love them.

Wonder what kinda steel they used for those springs to hold up a 2.5 ton mammoth

I will say this helps a ton. BUT damn near any car looks better when flush mount, and lowered. Unlike the G87, it swayed my distaste for it slightly.

Its like seeing an ugly person dress well. I respect what you did there but I still wont go out with you. (Ignore the vanity this comparison needed to be based on, you get what I’m going for)

May be not on a racing circuit, but everyday usability on public roads is certainly compromised. Care to pass over a speedbump with such a low suspension and that long wheelbase?

Otherwise, looks GREAT! . . . looking past all the advertising which I understand serves a marketing purpose

With specific regard to point of the post, the drop looks good. Thinking some spacers are in order, particularly in the front. Perhaps 15mm front and 10mm rear . . . again, only one man’s opinion

Owned a 2018 Macan Turbo where I placed H&R lowering springs. The advertised drop was about 25mm and I believe the claim was accurate. However, the drop was 25mm at all corners . . . how did you get 20mm drop front and 5 mm drop rear with lowering springs (as opposed to adjustable coil-overs)?

Finally, the fender to tire gap on most modern performance-oriented vehicles favors a larger front fender-to-tire gap. This has been particularly true of ///M cars and is cited elsewhere throughout the forum to be important/optimized from factory for handling. . . I am curious if your ‘leveling out’ the front and rear gaps will have a negative impact on handling?

///Avera
The target audience for products like this are not individuals who care about handling as it pertains to performance driving.

I know that some folks don’t love it when I try to find something positive to say about the 5, but I plan to keep trying. Here I think the drop itself looks great. No objections to that bit when I scope just that.
