At least he wasn't using a "false grip". I have seen numerous people seriously injure themselves that way as well.

I agree with you. I see guys at my gym who think they are as well. They are dressed the part that's for sure.

I couldn't really see the plates too well...but at my gym those "bumper plates" that are the color he was using are 35#. So that would be 210+the two 10's on the end...and then assuming the bar was 45lbs....275lbs.

Plus since the fact that he recorded it...looks like he was trying to pass it off as a 425# bench.
