Lost Dog Around West Covina- Help Pls
Hey guys,
Sorry for this post but i'm desperate to find my 5 year old Corgi mix weighing around 15lbs so i'm posting everywhere. I know this is a long shot, but i need every help i can get. Long story short, we had to vacate the house for a couple days for termite control so we boarded 3 of our dogs at the South Hills Animal Hospital in WEST COVINA (1414 S Azusa Ave West Covina, CA 91791) Got a call yesterday July 2nd around 4PM saying that they were cleaning the cage and my dog escaped and ran away around 12PM (Supposedly they were looking for him for hours). Apparently they left the back door/exit next to the cages OPEN when they were cleaning. Anyways, here are some photos of my dog so PLEASE contact me at 626 271 5172 if you have any information about MILO. I looked for him for 7 hours yesterday on foot & driving, and realized that i need to start expanding and getting more help so thank you for looking ! |

Ugh, I cannot even imagine that happening to my dog. Sorry to read that. Have you checked with that apartment complex across the road? I loaded where the animal shelter is on Google Maps and figure that's probably a spot where he might have gone first.

My vet always removes the collars when they board too. Series of unfortunate events. I hope nobody assumed it was a stray and "rescued" him

Thank you everyone for the support !
I've just finished my 19 continuous hours of searching/posting ads everywhere, still no luck but i'll continue trying tomorrow. He is not microchipped, and he DID have his collar but apparently he somehow took it off before he escaped.. I'll keep you guys updated tho and thanks again for looking ! |

hey guys, i'm really sorry about the late update.
I've been checking the forum, but I just couldn't convince myself to vent/update for some reason unless someone actually had any information or lead on my dog. it's been 10 days since my dog has been lost. i've posted ads, visited numerous shelters, petsmarts etc, got desperate enough to ride bicycle around the area for hours calling his name, and even TAPED the front/back/sides of my car with the ads while driving around the area, but no luck. I've posted on the main shelter's fb that got shared 230+ times, downloaded finding rover ap, made craigslist posts etc.. but yeah.. I've had a couple of leads and the most recent one was a few days ago where someone saw a dog similar to mine in a plaza with stater bros. She called me after seeing my ad somewhere and realized that the lost dog she saw in the plaza looked similar to mine. Apparently someone left the dog there without collar and the dog kept trying to go into the market, so the employees had to watch him. At the end, one of their regular customers were thrilled to see the lost dog, and took him home. Now, i'm just hoping that the dog at stater bros was actually milo, and that the couple will visit the grocery store and see the ad and give me a call. Thank you everyone for looking out and wishing me luck. I was in an emotional mess searching for my dog for a week straight getting minimal sleep & food as i didn't see why i should enjoy anything when my dog was out there somewhere looking for me. Anyways, i feel more settled now and i found comfort in just believing that someone took milo home for now, and that they will someday see my ad and return him to me. I left my parents and older sister to visit/talk to the animal hospital/vet. I could not convince myself to walk in there even though i've been in that plaza more times than i could count. So, to get the story more "straight", they were cleaning Milos cage when he got out and circled the room a few times until someone came in from the back exit/door and he ran out. Apparently he removed his collar and left it in the cage before escaping. I've had some people question and put responsibility on me for not micro chipping my dog. I always keep my dogs indoor, and they sometimes sleep with me on my own bed. I take extremely good care of my dogs. In the event that they were lost, i really believed that having a collar with tags was more than enough. Regardless, if anyone brought Milo into an animal hospital/rescue/shelter/humane society to CHECK for the microchip, they would have called me already. Milo is very over protective with strangers even with my best friend that comes to my house every day. I cut his nail myself, bathe and dry him myself, and fortunately he sheds so we never had to take him to get groomed. The only time was his visit to the vet for vaccine/shots where i brought mouth guard thing to secure and ensure that he doesn't bite. Knowing milo's personality, i really should have never trusted anyone with him. Thank you everyone again for taking interest and showing your concerns. I will make sure i keep you guys updated if i do find milo though! |
