2015 Nissan 370z Nismo

Hi! I am going to buy a brand new car when my lease is up, plan on getting the Nissan 370z Nismo. What do you guys think? I know I'm not a ricer but I like this car... Going to get a M4 after this...

I like the g37 too... Hate Mustang or Camaro... Or I don't mind getting a CPO E92 M3

It's going to be a fun zippy car, but I feel like its not worth $44k.

I think it looks pretty damn good.

Only problem is that it lacks the power of most other cars in it's category. Hopefully the next generation fixes that problem.

Not enough of performamce bump to justify the premium cost. I would rather get a normal 370z and pocket difference in cash. Or just get the CPO m3, better car and has a backseat.

It's made in Japan But yeah I know, a CPO M3 would be so much better... Oh it's going to be a weekday car...

What else does it share the category with? I thought 350hp was pretty good.

Love the look, hate the drive. I tried really hard to like both the 350 and the 370. I just couldn't get into it. I had a G35 for a little more than a half a year and began hating it within the first couple of months of ownership. I was glad it got stolen.

At that price point, why not look into a used C6 vette (unless the car has to be brand new)?

Don't like most American cars. Not completely brand new but still under warranty is OK

For $44k I would be thinking about a mustang GT/Boss 302 or Camaro SS/1LE. OP doesn't like muscle cars so I guess you're right, power isn't that bad compared to the rest of the competition.

I guess my one gripe is that the VQ37HR is simply a dated engine (not the VVEL tech, just the engine itself). It makes good power (up high) but mediocre torque all while achieving subpar fuel economy. It has received no real updates since it's inception back in 2008 except for the claimed "350 hp" in the ipl/nismo versions. However, that bump is from a revised exhaust and slight tune and unforunately the claimed "350" is a bit eager when compared with real world results.

What about a CPO 335is?

Honestly, for that price, you can get a 2012+ G37s or 2012+ 370z sport+touring/nismo and throw a GTM twin turbo or supercharger on it for the same price.

I have to admit though, they really are VERY reliable cars. No need to worry about warranty for a nissan/infiniti.

Yes, a twin turbo used 370z would be king! I'd take that over a newer 370z or any of the cars listed here. They easily push 500hp reliably, in a 3300 lb chassis, with a short wheel base, rwd, manual gearbox.

Cayman is nicer but I'm not sure about the saving money part. Porsche cars don't age very well. And even if the car's price is affordable, parts and maintenance are still as expensive as when the car was new and cost almost twice a 370z price.

135 is no match for a 370z. The handling is crap, and the styling is god-awfully disgusting. And the reliability record is quite poor.

OP, if you don't go with a 370z then another good choice would be a C6 Z06. Used ones are getting cheaper every day.

BOOM!!!!!

Supercharged or twin turbo 370z is awesome. Goes right back to my first comment being that all these cars need is a bit more power. Stage 1 supercharger will put you at 400-425 rwhp. Extremely reliable and you will dust almost anything you come across.
