My Porsche Cayman, FINALLY!
Hello y'all,
This past weekend I made a dream come true. Since I was four I've wanted a Porsche. I had a red, white, and blue 911 cup car Hot Wheels that was my favorite out of all the hot wheels I had. I still have it to this day. I remember in 2006 when the Cayman was introduced. I was a junior in high school. Top Gear on BBC was my favorite show and Jeremy Clarkson at the end of 2005 reviewed it. He called it the "Cockster." Lol! His review of it wasn't the best, but he did enjoy the drive. I fell in love with it then regardless of his review. So without further adue, here is a picture of it. PS - I will be listing my mods for sell from the the 135 soon. So get ready for that if you're looking for some mods.

Nice, you must work a few blocks from my old job.
Imbed image fail. Picture my old Z3 M Coupe on the roof, across from the new church, the one that just flooded. |

Thank you!
Thank you! Nope, traded it in for the Cayman. I'll miss the speed of the 135, but the Cayman is all that I imagined it would be and more. I love it. Plus it's CPO and has warranty. The 135 just lost it's warranty and I'm pretty sure the water pump was starting to go or something. I'm not real sure. I got a low coolant level on the way to the dealership. That was the sign for me to get the Porsche. Lol! My good morals hope that nothing is wrong and it was a fluke, I don't want the next owner of the 135 to be up shit creek. Quote:

Well, I'm 25. I guess that is a young age to some. I've essentially lived a quarter of my life. It's taken 25 years to make this dream of mine come true though. I've been very fortunate growing up. Learning the value of a dollar was taught at a young age. Strong discipline and good role models are to thank. I've had a dream of owning a Porsche for a long time. I learned dreams usually don't come to fruition without work, dedication, and persistence.

Congrats.
And it only took 21 years, since you dreamt of the Porsche since you were 4. Even better success ratio! |

not to hamper your efforts...but I am pretty sure the 911 offsets don't work for 981/987 cars

Thank you! That is defiantly a possibility, or maybe a GT3. I'm thinking an Aston Martian DBS or something after that! Dream big or why dream at all, right!?

Awesome car, man. I was a sophomore in High School when I first really noticed the Porsche Cayman. I was absolutely obsessed with that car for years, I test drove it probably 5 times with my father. When the 2009 refresh was released with the PDK, I dragged my poor father to Beverly Hills Porsche to drive one since they were the first to get them. The salesman was an instructor at Porsche's Colorado driving school, and he scared the living sh*t out of me drifting around their underground storage garage. I always hoped my Dad would want to buy a Cayman for himself after all these test drives, but it wasn't his cup of tea- he was a devoted Jaguar and Aston Martin fan. He was a great sport for taking me to the dealer to look at them though! Now that I could finally afford a 987.1, my tastes have changed a little bit and I don't think I ever would. Some really fond memories of drooling and dreaming over that machine though... enjoy it in good health!
