In couple years.... ( 2,3 or even 5 years from now)

What's going to be your next car???
Unless you switch cars every couple month, i think 2,3 or even 5 years from now is good number???
As for me currently I'm driving 06 e90 325i, and i've been thinking that i want e46 m3 vert as my next car.
I know it'll be used and is bit old now,,, and will be older in couple years.
But I've always wanted a M car and also convertibe so i think the e46 will be perfect. and will definitely be affordable at that time.
it'll be nice if some of you shared your thoughts about your next car.

(put this in General Automotive since some people might not want another bmw.)

I dont know if it will be to replace my 335xi coupe, but i am very interested in the rumored BMW roadster to compete with the Miata. Should weigh around 2800lbs and come with 4cyl engines, ideal as i want a roadster next.

More than likely my next car will be something fuel efficient. As I will likely be driving around all day, I'll need it to be. So I'll park the 3er in the garage. Probably will have something before the end of the year.

Why not just get a real car.. like a M Roadster?

I want to get an M Coupe and FX45 sometime in the near future...

If all goes well, maybe it'd be time to upgrade to an M/AMG/RS model. I'd probably buy a used one; let someone else take the brunt of the depreciation and will most likely end up with an M3 saloon (w/ the DCT) or C63. If I had a choice I'd get the former in Silverstone II or the latter in white. The C is damn good looking in white.

Hell, I'd seriously consider an S5 as my next car even. If BMW makes a 5 series that's a little more aggressive looking in the future then hell, maybe even one of those. Maybe even a next gen 3 series. I'm up for that. It's really hard to tell to be honest because I figure depreciation will make up a huge factor in the buying process with all of these higher end models.

Money. Next car i just want a cheap fun little roadster. I think between my C4 corvette, 335xi and M3 i have enough real cars.

Yachtpost.com?

Hmm...in 1.5 years (when lease is up) likely will just take car in and get a newer E90...maybe get a 335i this time around. Nothing major.

In 5 years...would like to get into the the Porsche lineup...but we'll see.

I plan to keep my car for 3-4 more years then I might look into a 5 series, X5/X6, or a new 3 series coupe convertible. I will also look into a Mercedes E or a CLS.

GTR or M3 or C63 this December or January.

5 years from now, I have no clue what will be out but I know generally what I'd be looking at. If I have kids probably an SUV (todays equivalent: Cayenne GTS) and the next M3 as a fun car. No kids opens up a world of possibility, and I could see us having 3 cars, an SUV for winter/crappy weather, a convertible that my wife would drive mainly (todays equivalent: slk 55 amg) and something like a 911 Turbo or GTR V-Spec etc.

BMW's are always fun and easy to love if you take care of them. I still love my ten year old E36 M. I dont think I could sell it.

My next car is either a new M3 or GTR. I have deposits on both.

After, I am expecting sports cars to become much lighter and more fuel efficient. Small and light diesel turbo 4bangers made from exotic composites that are not quite as exotic in the future. Just my guess....

In 5 years, I expect to still have my M Coupe. What I'm looking for in the next year is a suitable daily driver, but I might go back a bit and get an E39 540i 6-spd with sport package. Other candidates are a 335xi, 535xi, or X3 3.0si.
