nicer car or...nicer house
Curious...i see all these amazing cars on here. and all the money you all spend on rims, performance parts etc....Iam curious to know if you dump all your money in your car and live in a little condo, with your parents, or maybe your a baller and have a huge house and a tricked out car?
Myself as of now iam all stock. (330i, 335i) My house is pretty nice 2700 sq feet mountian views. worth about 1.3. I wanna go nuts and blow a wack of money on my cars but i just cant justify spending 10k on mods when i can put it in my house. Maybe iam just OLD where are you at? |

I've seen tons of ppl here in LA with shitty homes and nice cars. People want to look rich who aren't rich. Thats why cars aren't status symbols without the house.

Here in the south people spend more in houses. the term house-poor is common since having a bigger house makes u feel richer, but then u can't travel or go out to eat because of your mortgage...
For me it's 1.Me & family, 2.Travel 3.House/Car |

Well since you said " a shitty condo", i wouldnt categorize my condo as shitty at all, cosnidering its appraisal value at about 500,000. Having a nice car(understatement) is just a hobby to me and it always will be, i honestly dont want a house until im older. For now im a young guy who doesnt need sleep, so why not enjoy life because who knows when itll be over. Priorities always come first though, family over anything else.

anyway to answer the question about the house and not spending 10k in mods some ppl are excessive and not wealthy and some people are cheap and very wealthy.

different people have different priorities in life. For you, blacklemon, having a house is apparently very important to you, but your view/value is not shared by everyone. Not saying your view is wrong, just stating the obvious that not everyone thinks like you.

and get hit by a bus the day after your early retirement.
Different strokes for different folks, some people likes to save, some people like to live in the moment. Neither is wrong in their way of life/thinking.

for me retiring is like waiting to die... IMHO why wait to do or get everything you dreamed for when u're too old, tired and arthritic to enjoy it?
