Is the air quality crappy in your area?

Air quality is total crap where I live. I can totally feel the stuff in my lungs. It feels almost like they're moving. I don't even smoke, never smoked before, and I exercise every week. It has been like this for a few years already. It really sucks and my doctor doesn't really seem to care. Does anyone here experience the same problem?

Sometimes the air quality really is crappy, but that's only around the sewers.

In the California Bay Area the Air Quality has been awful. And on top of that there was a major Oil Spill in the Bay Water, so it's been one thing after the other.

Effff Houston...
When you drive about an hour to the woods north of Houston, you start coughing because you aren't used to the clean air.

And at night by the time you get between The Woodlands and Conroe you can see stars again.
Dallas is better but not by much. We get dust storms from west Texas here.

I live in La Porte, South East of Houston and I can see the stars almost every night if there isn't cloud cover.. Guess it might be the fronts clearing out all the pollution though, you can usually only see a few. There also isn't as much light pollution out in the Woodlands and Conroe though.

Not even close; again, go to Beijing sometime. You will not ever see the sun with all the pollution in the air.

Beijing air quality is surprisingly great. A lot of people ride their bikes, use electric scooters and walk. I ended getting a tan in Beijing too. I didn't have any respiratory problems when I was there. I was also in NYC before 9/11, it wasn't all that bad - air was crisp.

Not disputing your experience but I was there for over a week and never saw the sphere of the sun nor the moon the entire time I was there. At night, I could see the particulates like a fog by the street lights.

Yah, I never had an issue with the Bay Area as compared to LA. Does not compare to Boulder CO but still no complaints.

Coastal Orange County.....I'd say our air is pretty good here. We have fresh air from the sea thats always coming in, and santa anna winds to move air around. Poor LA is surrounded by mountains that just lock all that pollution in.
