2015 Chevy Corvette

What do you folks think of the Corvette? I've always liked 'Vettes, but the new one is very hot looking to me. It's actually the straight on view from the front and from behind that I really like.

I don't know anything else about it, and I don't need to. I doubt I'll buy one, but sure think it's nice looking.

All the best.

Edit:
For comparative purposes:

There are a few in my neck of the woods. I haven't gotten tired of seeing them like I have the new Mustang and Camaro. Something a little more special about the design maybe? Or perhaps just not as many of them. Unsure. Either way, I digress.

My favorite color is the Arctic White, gotta have the black or CF accents, no stripes.

I haven't gotten inside of the new one. What's the cabin like?

I tried out the prior 'Vette's cabin a couple times and it didn't "do it" for me. It felt cheap to me.

When I saw the new one on the road a couple weeks ago, I thought, "Wow! That 'Vette looks cooler than I ever expected a 'Vette to look. It looks 'Ferarri' or 'Zonda' good." I'm wondering if the inside is also "Ferarri" good or very close to it?

I've always liked Corvettes, but I've never thought they looked "Ferrari" or "Zonda" good. I've just always thought they looked good. Unfortunately, after the early 1970s, I also thought them rather cheesy on the inside...not in a terrible way, but more in a slightly cheap, but mostly "boy racer" way.

When I was a boy, the "boy racer" interior (if it was that) was fine; I was a boy, so it was fine. I'm "all grown up" now, so while I'm still okay with "boy racer" on the outside, I can't sit inside and be surrounded by that aesthetic the whole time I'm in the car. Do you know what I mean?

All the best.

P.S.
I don't really care if the car performs quite as well as a Ferrari. I'm pushing 60. Well made, sophisticated, good looking, solid performing is quite enough.

I don't understand your second sentence. Sorry.

I understand the words themselves; I just don't know what they mean re: the car.

All the best.

Was on the track with the car so didn't take too much time checking the interior out.

I love the new Corvette. I don't think pictures do it justice. I'm in awe every time one passes by. And the Z06? Forget about it. I couldn't even keep my composure Stunning car. However, I'm not sure if the look is "timeless" (for comparison, IMO the first gen R8 has a timeless body shape).

Love how they look but Corvettes never age well.

I may love how the C7 look now but in 3-4 years the car will look like it's 10 years old.

Not a fan of the looks honestly, the back end looks like lousy.

Great performer though obviously.

TY for your comments. You raise a good point.

I can say I don't dislike the look of any Corvette I've ever seen. I can definitely tell which of them is new and which is not. In that sense, yes, I can tell "this one or that one" is 10 years old, but only because I've long liked their looks, so I know they aren't current.

I can honestly say the same thing about Ferraris, Bentleys/Rolls, and a few other cars. I don't have a problem with the look of the older models of those cars either. In fact, were I thinking to buy one, it'd be a matter of choosing the styling I like best, not one of which one is newer or older. I feel the same way about the 'Vette models.

Truly when I first saw the 'Vette profile, my first thought was that Chevy aped the Ferrari California profile.

All the best.

I must admit the C7s do look much better than the previous generations, but I don't think I could get myself to buy one. The Z06 is making me rethink that, though.

I completely disagree on the R8. It looks like a elongated TT with the shape of an giant round egg. The only view I do like is from the rear with all the black vents. The side blades look terrible and the rest of the car looks weird.

I'm glad the new R8 looks much better. The side blade looks more refined and the whole car looks less Beetle-like.

I may get flamed for saying this, but 650/650 on the street is an awful lot. Even on a track it's a lot. I'd rather the C7 Stingray, and change out the wheels. Have a ton more fun wringing it out daily than spending 2 seconds on throttle before getting to the "go to jail" zone.

That said, even though I like this gen, I still wouldn't have one. If I'm gonna get a 2 seater, it's a P-car. Used to bash on how the Cayman looked, but, got to drive one and eh. Sold for life.

Most people I've spoken to would disagree, but to each his own.

Nah I agree, the power is pointless. Anything over 300hp is worthless on the street honestly.

That's because GM made it out of plastic.
