Thumbs up The 33 BEST Burgers In America!!!

At least, that's what the article says. Some of these I am inclined to agree with.

http://www.yahoo.com/food/the-33-bes...265820336.html

Thoughts...?

On a different but related note... The above burger is arranged PERFECTLY IMHO! With the lettuce resting on the bottom bun then tomato and then meat. Why? Because it prevents the lettuce from getting too hot and soggy which ruins a burger! This is exactly how I make my own at home.

I've had 2 from that last. Used to live in Chicago. Au Cheval is good, but I think it's overrated.

Holeman and Finch is so overrated, the only reason it gets so much hype is because up until this year they only served 24/night and only at 10pm. We have so many great burger joints in Atlanta, but H&F caters to the foodie hipsters who make these lists.

Exactly, went there with a coworker, planned my whole damn day around being there at the bar in front so we could order one of the few and was so disappointed. Good yes but not magical. Hell I like Varsity better just because of not having to deal with any of the pretentious foody snobs. Now mind you have eaten at many foody places and generally been let down so maybe I am jaded.

One of the absolute most overrated burger paves had to be "In & Out".

One of my favorite and airways consistent is Whataburger!!

2010 135i Coupe  [5.26]
Honorable mentions in my book:
Five Guys
In 'n Out
Shake Shack

I don't need it stacked 6" high with shit, just give me a great tasting slab of meat with some cheese and I'm smiling.

Only one I've had is red mill. Think they have peanut butter as an option on the burgers.

Another South Florida option...

Make sure you have a few hours to rest after downing one of these burgers.

The great thing about Five Guys is they're everywhere.

The need to bring In N Out in the eastern region. I haven't tried Whataburger yet, but I've heard good things about them.

Five guys is good, only problem is they always put WAY too many fries in the bag and by the time i dig through enough of the pile of fries to get to the burger I'm already stuffed. We don't have whataburger in Washington, but was in Texas a few weeks back and i got hooked.

Local brew house in town has some of my all time favorites though. Waddell's here in town always has awesome burgers. One of those places featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives that kinda got popular after that. Always good food though. Damn I'm hungry now.

I bought into the hype on TV and had to try one of Jacks butter burgers. The curly fries were pretty good at least. Within 2 hours I was bent over with a nasty cramp, even tonight when we went for bierria I couldn't even eat 1 serving

So..I went to five guys yesterday because a coworker said it is pretty good...it sucked. Burger King is better. Ok...I'm the chef at a restaurant and our burgers are pretty Damn good. We sell alot of them and people say they are the best in the area (I never say we are the best-let the product speak) but that 5$ burger was fair. And in&out is fair too. Then again I already know it is easy to fool most people as they do not know good foodm
