Possible Performance Centre Problems due to flooding?
Sorry to read of all the flooding taking place in South Carolina - an amazing amount of rainfall in a short period of time, several lives lost, and obviously a ton of disruption and damage.
Saw this: http://www.weather.com/safety/floods...ding-impacts-0 "A Spartanburg car dealership saw damage to dozens of vehicles after Thursday morning's flooding, reports KXAN-TV. Floodwaters lifted the vehicles and left them in multiple piles, washing two of them underneath a bridge. They were found upside down on the other side of a road. Darrin Shelton, general manager of the dealership, estimates water damage between 50 to 60 of the vehicles, which have to be removed from the lot." Does anyone have any idea if the Performance Centre would be prone to flooding and how cars due for PCD are stored? While this concern is minor in comparison to the devastation people are currently suffering in the state I am worried about my upcoming delivery. |

I thought it would be in the coastal areas too, but in the article he posted, that dealer that lost 50-60 cars was in Spartanburg. The Performance Center is on higher ground than its track though, so I wouldn't expect flooding up in the garage area.

Mine was supposed to be there yesterday, but that's certainly a big concern for later PCDs along with general offloading in Charleston and shipments from the BMW factory in Spartanburg

That was a Dodge dealership that got wiped out by a mudslide.

is the vpc in charleston? I know my car got off in charleston and last time I called genius they said it was in vpc waiting to be trucked to the performance center. I wonder if theres flooding there and what do they do to protect the vehicles? don't want to get a new flood damaged car.

Both moomeacow and I received emails today from the Performance Centre to say our cars were there and that the flooding in that area was not bad, so that's a relief. I still anticipate there will be odd navigational problems due to road closures leaving, but it will be a good test of the Nav system.
