A kid sick, suggestions for stuff to do!
My son got a high fever last night, before medication his temperature was above 103 (39.5C) and we are skipping school today!
It's noon and by now we've backed cookies, gone for a spin, we've built a caste from milk cartons, and currently we are discussing dinosaurs vs wolves, who would win. His fever is rising again a bit which sadly with him results in endless talking. I am actually afraid he will faint for lack of oxygen because he doesn't seem to breath in while he continues his chitchat. Any ideas guys for fun things to do? Tv is not an option because of his hearing issues and I doubt I even know how to turn ours on. Ironically his speech development was my reason to ban tv in our house when he was born. Oh, the kid is five and reads but now his eyes hurt so he prefers low lights so that too is out.

That sounds smarter than he is. My kids are freaks with their interests but they are not pushed to be little geniuses.
But seriously. When you guys were kids, sick and miserable, what did you want to do? Ive ran out of ideas.

Have you tried Benadryl in combination with a fever reducer? Could cause him to feel a bit better and will bring upon drowsiness. Diphenhydramine (active molecule) tends to create a mild sense of well-being and enduces natural sleep. Studied Pharmacology as a Chemistry major in College. Drugs are fun (when used properly).

Mama Anna I think you need to find out the reason why your son has high fiver and 39.5C is no joke .
Sounds like the flu to me if he has pain all over on his body and bones in combination with a cold and bronchitis and lack of appetite . Best thing of course is to call a doctor . And I wish your little son a speedy recovery .

You should let your kid have 150% of the seed money, but no cheat.

He bribed his kid brother to steal from the bank while I went to get the cookies from the oven. I ended the fame when he was caught and then the chatting started. I'll text you a sample now.

He's now at 37.2 (meds worked last night and he got a load in the morning too, it's in a slow rise and he gets his next load around three.)
Now. How did your mom keep you sane?

He's just chatting, he keeps explaining stuff to me, volcanoes, dinosaurs, dogs, bombs, how ducks give birth, how a frog would be easiest to catch, how he is the fastest bicycle rider ever (poor boy, he's so cautious with his bike he actually don't even ride downhill), it is constant and I can't apparently distract him when he is lecturing.
I was kinda hoping you guys had magical tricks how to keep a kid entertained. We've even opened the hoods of both cars to learn different parts and what they do. I am out of ideas

Even now that the fever is down the main focus is to keep him from running around.
