Your favorite BMW M Blue
Part two of the BMW M blue thread. Here is a poll showing all the BMW M blues and asking your opinion on the best. By BMW M it means at one point it was an M exclusive colour and may or may not be available now on non M cars. By blue it means its primarily a blue colour and does not include other colours such as "black" which shows a blue tint.
http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1222320 Granted its hard to post a single picture to capture the complete colour these blues offer given the many faces they have. This is reference only. Macao Blue Avus Blue Estoril Blue LeMans Blue Laguna Seca Blue Interlagos Blue Monte Carlo Blue San Marino Blue Yas Marina Blue Long Beach Blue Last edited by Sassicaia; 02-07-2016 at 10:52 PM.. |

I like many of the blues in this list - especially Estoril - but I still went with Yas Marina. I looked at the poll as if I had access to all of the blues for the same price when I ordered my car. It would have been really, really hard to choose between Yas and Estoril; they are definitely my top two. The others I would have passed on. I like Interlagos as well, but considering that I've owned two IB M cars, I'm over that color.

I loved my Estoril on my F30 335. Was disappointed I couldnt get it at the normal price on the F80 M3, but then I found San Marino and fell in love.

I couldn't decide between Interlagos and Laguna Seca. To me those are just M3 colors. San Marino looks nice, what about Velvet Blue? Those two look similar to me.

Sorry about that, I misunderstood the thread. I assumed all these were individual like colors because none are offered standard except for YMB.

No problem, it wasn't necessarily made completely clear. Plus, I can understand how the pictures of late model BMWs painted with the vintage M blues could lead you down that path. If you look at the OPs prior thread, you can see the genesis of the discussion.

Yea I'll admit it might not have been as clear as it could have. Its just mean to be Blues that are M specific meaning any blue that started out as only being available on an M car.
