Ruptured Achilles, Can't Drive My M3

needed to vent and figured only ppl here would understand.

Ruptured my Achilles tendon and had surgery. it's been a month already and I won't be able to drive my baby for another 3 months.

I think I've been more bummed out about that, than the fact that I had a serious injury that required surgery.

Wow! That sucks! Best of luck with your recovery. I know I would be bummed! I guess it'll make all that much sweeter when you do get to drive her!

I am facing the same thing. I am getting both hips replaced in July and face 30 days of not driving. I am not pleased.

damn, hip replacement is no joke. Good luck!

We should start a support group.

The best time of the week is when I start the car in the garage and run the engine for a little while. Rev it a few times...it dulls the pain...

DUDE!?!?!

I thought back to back rotator cuff surgery was bad...

What is the (expected) life span of those hips?

Hope you recover fast! Only one thing to do - order some performance parts, wheels, wrap, etc, for the m3 so it's in the shop for a while aka you don't have to look at it...then when your healed up you will have a badass "new" ride to enjoy! Good luck

Guess you're not a clutch player.

Seriously, I hope your recovery goes well and you get back to driving your amazing car real soon.

Question - How'd you injure the achilles?

Was going to post "Should have gotten DCT", but I would have felt bad. Heal quickly and best of luck.
May have been this though:

Feel for you man. I'm going in for 3rd leg/hip/knee surgery in 4 months on Thursday. Getting an osteotomy and knee micro fracture. Won't be able to drive my 235 for 3-4 months or whenever the bone heals. Just got it full bolt on with meth.

Sucks.

What the hell? How could you possibly post something so interesting as a ruptured achilles without mentioning how it happened?
