Maryland's Best garage

So, my brother has a 911. There is a HUGE C&C in Hunt Valley every Saturday.

Today happens to be a day the Porsche Club shows up.

One of their members invites a lot of people back to his house .. take a look.

I THINK the BMW is a 507 ????

Does the 959 fall under the older then 25 years ( or whatever ) it's a classic so can be imported?
Also not to far from this gentleman in Hampden section of Baltimore was (or is) a federalization tunning shop that did McLaren F1's to DOT spec and I think I read they did a 959.

On a side note, the highway near this Cars&Coffee, I-83, from Hunt Valley to the Pennsylvania line is the greatest section of highway that ultra-hi-pro cars can hit near max and high speed cornering that I've seen, of course - figuratively speaking. The curves and banking and down one side of valley's and steeply up other sides, long 1/2 mile and 1 mile curves.

Yes you are exactly right it is able to be imported now that's it's over 25 years old. Porsche originally sent a batch over with light modifications for a "track car" to try and pass US regulations when it originally came out. The US basically said no it's not a track car and sent them all back so upon its original release none came to the US. I think I read somewhere there is estimated to be 25 or less in the US currently. It's definitely a unicorn. State of the art for the time. A lot of features originated there that are now par for the course. Far ahead of its time. I think they were 300-400k I believe at the time and Porsche lost money on every model they ever made so that goes to how much research and development went into this model
