New celly, SLVR

So I bough the new SLVR in Black, and I'm amazed by how sexy the thing is. Its making me want to switch from verizon, but I know I'll regret it when I cant get service anywhere on the GSM network...

I checked into the GSM rate plans, and they are that much cheaper...

I got a Black Razr about a year ago and love it. I REALLLY like the SLVR. I might sign up for 2 years and use the upgrade money to get it.

haha yeah. They have a great network but their phones are soo ridiculously ugly. When I called in to cancel my Verizon acct they asked me why and I said "cus u guys have crappy phones". LOL

I'm happy with my Verizon phone, works flawlessly with iDrive.

i just switched from verizon to cingular to get what i consider the best cell phone in the world....audiovox 5600-smt.

the phone is AMAZING. but the service is not that great when compared to verizon...

i wish verizon would wake up and get some decent phones.
i'm glad i got the 1 year contract so i can switch back to verizon.

i guess you can't have everything when it comes to cell phones. atleast not now.

OMG i saw the commercial for that last night!

i hate technology! as soon as you get sometihng spiffy, it goes out and something new comes in.

i love verizonn., best service ever. too bad their phones are ugly.

Is it as slow as the RAZR V3c? this thing is literally taking 3-4 seconds just to load the menu. the worst thing is, it doesn't even let you know it's working, so you press the menu or camera button and nothing, you keep pressing and pressing and nothing, then after 5 seconds it all of the sudden appears. also, getting to the messages menu item takes forever and the iTAP word prediction is way worse than the standard T9.

shit, i just realized i hate my phone from the bottom of my heart. it is slick and sexy but i've seen a phone this slow in my life!

No problems as of yet. Minimal usage until I go abroad though (1 phone call thus far).

Its a really nice looking phone...but I thought the screen resolution is nowhere near Sony Ericsson's. I actually like it better than the RAZR (my wife's) as I am not a big fan of clamshell design. You might want to get a clear screen protector for that...

Currently, have a S710a which is suprisingly robust and good albeit a tad bulky so no complaints. I recently was gifted a Nokia 8800 which was a very pretty phone with fantastic sound but got frustrated with the software issues (can't power on) and battery charging (can keep charge)and have passed it to my sister. Nokia is really going down the tubes ...heard similar quality issues with their N70 as well

Nokia is or was an amazing comapany. Their products were unbreakable...

This one seems nice and small, but I have found the menu+* key lock. Albeit that its pretty hard to hit the very slick buttons.
