Personally in that price range I'd go for a Viper. But between these 2 cars I think the GTR is a better buy and here's why:
If you're looking for performance, the GTR is superior by almost every performance metric. And if you like having something unique, the GTR despite being 'just a Nissan' looks a lot more exciting and almost exotic on the road compared to the M6 that looks like just about every other 6 series. As for design, I personally think the M6 looks slightly better but the GTR looks edgier if that's your thing. I'd be 80-20 in favour of the GTR if I was choosing between the two. Just my 0.02. |

Why is an M6 even a consideration? At that price range there are plenty of more exciting cars, more luxurious cars and better values.
Looks like you already own an M4 and Golf R, what role with the next addition play for you? |

i think this comes down to what your personal preferences are since these two serve different purposes.

GT-R I think will hold its value better and is the more exciting car but it's old and ugly IMO. I would say if it's a weekend car, GT-R is the easy choice but if you will drive it regularly the M6 will be more enjoyable.

If you're talking about a used R8 with the V10, then it's $1 to $2 per mile for maintenance/up keep. The GT-R and M6 will be a bit less than that.
