M135i crashes on the Autobahn, gets launched into a tree - roof first!!
On the A92 direction Eching. The A92 Autobahn is the Autobahn that goes to the Munich airport just North of Munich past the Allianz arena. The driver was seriously hurt, but survived. The M135i(1er two door hatch) was driving briskly(well over 130 kph) when it ran over the side guard rail(far right lane on the Autobahn) for some 100 meters and launched the car into the air(!) - like a scene out of the movies!! The car flew up in the air, some ten meters high(!) and then hit a tree - with the car's roof first!! The crushed car then continued another 30 meters down the autobahn way off the shoulder where it came to a rest. The cause of the accident is undetermined at the moment. Bellow are the shocking photos of the crash scene original (German)news story here... http://www.abendzeitung-muenchen.de/...gn=SocialMedia

Damn thats crazy...glad they survived.
The cause of the accident was that the driver ran out of talent at 125kph and at 130kph the car made him pay for not knowing his limits. Happens often here the ole USA |

Driver survived? He must have been a shorter guy.
The fact he survived may not be that good if he's going to be physically challenged for the rest of his life. Reminds me of a story a family friend told me when he was on autobahn maxing out the car. He says, I didn't bother using the seatbelt, because if I crash at this speed I'd rather die than survive and be a vegetable or depend on people to wipe my ass. I get what he was saying, and he's got a point. Last edited by Wolf 335; 08-23-2016 at 09:13 AM.. |
