P-Car Owners - which forum?
So, the wife wants a new Cayman. We went out this weekend to a couple dealers.
Need to do my due diligence. What forum are most of you guys using? |

RL is the only forum that's good for p-cars; 6speed has really fallen off over the past few years.

Lack of interesting content for the most part, scattered information and not as quite organized as M3post...

Rennlist, 6speed, planet-9. They are all stale bread compared to the great forum activity on Bimmerpost.
Inquire about a possible retrofit? Crickets Ask what does this light do? They all respond I "pay the dealership" $6000 to replace my light bulbs I really really think there should be a P-car forum here on this domain ... perhaps under off-topic (yes I know that would be strange). I bet many people on this forum owned or own a Porsche at one time or another.

I've been a long time Porsche owner but I haven't been active on any forums. Like you said they're just not very active. Wayyyyyy back in the day when Rennlist was a mailing list called PorscheList (that makes me feel old, damn) it was really active and fun. Not sure what happened since then.

Rennlist is good for 911s and such.. not so much for 981/718 Caymans and Boxsters. Planet-9 isn't bad for Cayman info.
None compare to bimmerpost, though. That's why I hang out here a lot still

I joined Planet 9 back in 2006 when I bought my 987. It was a good source of info but I was never very active.

You can also try the Pelican Parts forum, seems to be decently active: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/1-por...hnical-forums/

Planet9 is the go to and 6speedonline will be helpful too (911 forums get the most action but you can ask questions there too and get responses.)

I think it would be an excellent idea, as many BMW owners own/owned/or will own a P-Car |
