I pre-ordered the Nexus 6p and when it arrived I saw the manufacture "Huawei" and put the lid back on the box and sent it right back to them.
I didn't bother researching the Pixel after that. Who really makes it?

Can't really call something an iPhone killer because it caters to different ecosystem.
That said, specs look nice. Software and features looks interesting. Looks kinda weird, but that might just be me. It's made by HTC. Never really heard anything too bad about their phones. Still think Samsung makes the superior hardware, regarding android devices. |

Not an iPhone killer because Apple has a cadre of devoted users who simply don't have any idea about the kinds of innovation in the mobile/tablet/wearable space that are out there and have no interest in finding out.

I've noticed that. I think some of them see it as a status symbol.

You're forgetting the main feature of an iPhone which is the software, which I can guarantee you is made by Apple Do you really think the components in your Samsung are all made by Samsung?

Huawei is a very high end phone maker in China by the way. And the Nexus showed it. They haven't quite broken into North America yet.

If I could list the things I miss about my Nexus 6P (Currently on 6s Plus):
-Quick charging -Better notification system -Native Gmail -Camera (much better than 6S Plus for stills. Especially in low light) -Better multitasking -Being able to organize app icons how I want -Google Now -Button placement Neither is better than the other overall. It's all personal preference.

Well Google doesn't have a semiconductor fab so what do you expect them to do? Apple also outsources the manufacture of their phones...

The US Federal Government isn't the only government with that point of view. The Aussies have also banned Huawei from being used in any important infrastructure projects. Me personally, I wouldn't own any Huawei products. Yes, some US companies have been caught spying on consumers using their products. But I don't recall any of those companies where the guy in charge used to be a "former" Intelligence officer. |
