Ball is a legit watch maker that has their own style and uses good movements. No complaints here.

Ball is famous for the tiny tritium tubes it uses for it's luminescence in the minute and hour and hands ( or is it just hour markers ) on the watchface.
Wiki says tritium is radioactive can't be absorbed through skin but can be digested.
I don't know if the tritium is a good thing or a bad thing - but that is part of their appeal. The lume last a long time in the dark. I guess like other lumes it recharges with visible light and is ready for another go in the dark.

Tritium does not need to recharge because it is a self-luminous radioactive material. It is the same stuff used in night sights for guns. One sight maker (trijicon) says theirs will be about half dim in 12.4 years and 1/4 dim in about 25 years. I assume that the watch would be similar.

I think it would look better without the little BMW logo on it.

Your correct about the tritium - freaking isotopes

Ball lumination schemes are very good looking, I see why some collect different models.

Here's a good lume test

I have a non-BMW Ball watch and really like it. Its not too big or bulky, and can be worn casual/business casual. The illumination is not excessive in that it is distracting at a nice restaurant or movie. Its a nice watch for the price point.

Any watches or clothes with BMW logo on them look douchey IMO.
Like Ferrari shirts or jackets.
Just another way for BMW to make money by slapping a logo on it.

Ball is a very legit brand with a great history. They are known for their luminescence because they use Tritium Tubes

I have a ball watch for the past 4 yrs and love it. Good movements and quality. I love the tritium tubes. I can see the time in any light condition. I would pass on the BMW ball watches and find a regular one. I agree the BMW branded ones are a bit tacky. There are some good deals out there if you are patient.
