Is that an F50 at 1:25-1:30? Actually never mind, it's probably a Supra Turbo.

Some of those GT-Rs are silly fast.

Videos that support reckless driving are lame af. When you or one of your family members are ripped in half we'll see if you up this thread.

I'M KIDDING! haha I don't really care if your fam gets torn up - I just felt like being a Debbie Downer because Monday.

That's the whole point. He's alive.

Drag strips/track days/autoX/SCCA FTW. Every day of the week. Particularly on Thursday and Friday evenings and Sundays.

The vast majority of people who street race and spectate at rallies don't have serious incidents let alone kill themselves. Risky activities are pretty hard to beat. Try going to the motocross track or flying an ultralight aircraft and tell me that's not what life's all about. Well, you probably would tell me that, and in my opinion you're just not living.

Love how threads with videos like this always devolve into a battle over moral superiority.

Just for the record: I wouldn't tell you that. I'm as much an adrenaline junkie as anyone, and I've done some damned risky things during my life.

Thing is, there's a difference between consciously risking your own life and risking the lives of others around you who haven't consciously made that same choice. That's the difference here. I've seen people die, in person, because of the latter. That's why this is stupid -- and part of the reason it's illegal.

Hey, I've seen people die in person as a result of the negligence of others too. But our anecdotal experiences, as impactful as they may have been don't mean jack in a world of billions of people where the hardships and injustices we CAN'T imagine or aren't aware of vastly outweigh the ones we ARE aware of...We've got about a million other problems that cause collateral damage and death in vastly larger amounts than some dude street racing. Why not put our energy into caring about THOSE problems, like lack of sanitation, lack of access to medical care, petty wars and conflicts, lack of education (lack of DRIVING education / capability alone kills tens of thousands annually). Putting your energy into worrying about street racing doesn't make a lot of sense when all you can do is not street race yourself, which probably won't matter because statistically speaking you're probably about as likely to win the jackpot in vegas as you are to accidentally kill someone with your car while racing on the street.

Don't get me wrong, it would be IDEAL if nobody got hurt street racing but there are so many bigger problems and unneeded death and suffering is such a widespread and unresolved issue that it's really hard to see some very rare collateral damage as an issue when the upside is millions of people indulging their passion, opening doors to possible future constructive activities like car related careers or projects, and having a good time.

It has nothing to do with "moral superiority" just superiority.
