Suggestions for Vegas trip

Hi all. Headed to Vegas Thursday and was looking for some advice on things to do outside of town. We are renting a McLaren Mp412c on Friday and have unlimited mileage within a 100 mile radius of the city. I've got Red Rock Canyon and the Valley of Fire on the list but we've got 24 hours with it so I was looking for some other things to do nearby or maybe some good roads to check out. Any suggestions appreciated!

If you want to go off strip to do something fun, you HAVE to go check out Sky Combat Ace! Well if you like being able to ACTUALLY FLY A STUNT PLANE!! LOL.

Thanks for the suggestions. Been to Vegas 10 times and didn't know there was a Chinatown. Where is it?

Sorry to say OP but Vegas sucks this time of year. I know cause I was just there in December. It's cold, you'll always need a jacket. Obviously the pools will be closed too. At least you won't be there on a Mon - Wed when all the clubs are closed and the nightlife becomes worthless.

Red Rock Canyon is awesome. You'll love all the hiking trails and the road around the canyon is windy and fun. There's nothing else to do on the outskirts of Vegas though. Hoover Dam and/or Grand Canyon if you have time?

OP there's also a car museum in here. If you print out their coupon admission should be free. They'll charge if you show up with the coupon on your phone. It's far from the best museum out there, but they do have an interesting collection including one of Elvis' Cadillacs and Johnny Carson's Chrysler. It's worth an hour of your time.

I had a good time in the dune buggys cruising the Mojave 3 years ago. I'm the opposite of being a high roller. I really enjoyed playing 21 downtown at the Horseshoe. I love the character down there, as opposed to the generic feel of all the casino's on the strip. Best bar I hung out in was at the Chandelier at the Cosmo.

How about a drive out to Rachel, NV. . . who knows what you might see while on the "Extraterrestrial Highway" near Area 51? (it's just a bit outside 100 miles, but I will not tell anyone).

NOT driving related . . . 2 hour whisky tasting at The Whiskey Attic.

Agree. Its a cool view but the high roller is far from exciting.

The plane flying looks cool. You can rent heavy machinery like a back hoe and dig shit. You can go shoot machine guns. You can ride the roller coaster or jump off the Stratosphere. All these options would be more fun.

Just got back. Appreciate all the suggestions. High Roller wasn't operating for some reason. That sucker is huge...Probably wouldn't have gone on it anyway. Heights aren't my thing. We did make it out to red Rock canyon and valley of fire as well as Rachel Nevada (went to the little ale inn!) and mount Charleston. I attached a couple pics of the car. Very fun. Screw gambling, I'm renting a supercar every trip from here on out. The stuff around town is way cooler than the casinos imo.
