I found something new at Google-Map
Is this a new feature?
I was looking for directions and notice a picture display on google map, so I click on the picture. Then it shows you a 3D real-life view (Street View on Google) of the street with arrows to move to the direction you want to go, plus a rotational view also. I try it on my home address and saw my Bimmer park on the driveway…LOL not all towns have this yet...check it out

It's old, but they are constantly adding new cities. I know the Raleigh, NC area just went live a few months ago. Pretty cool to see though.
I'd hate to be the person who had to drive that car around down every single individual street.

lol, I remember seeing that someone had sued them for violation of privacy because one of the cars had driven down their private driveway and there were pictures of the house and their kids jungle gym

it's either a van (unmarked) or a VW Beetle (Google logos) with a fancy camera on the top. Pics of both on e90post, somewhere. Have you tried google sketchup? Easy to use 3D rendering program. Try googling it. |
