It's a no brainer. Sean Connery all the way!
I would vote Roger Moore for second. |

WOW..this is tough. I've been watching Bond movies since I was 7 yrs old (I'm 33 now) and to be honest I can't pick just one. Connery of course is one of the best, but some of the story lines and the techonology used in movie making during those years made some of the films look just silly. I think Connery's best film was his last (Never Say Never Again).
I like all of Roger Moore's films (he was originally picked over Connery, but couldn't get away from his contract with the TV show called The Saint). Did u know Moore was in his early 60's when he did his last bond film? Brosnan I think was a good blend of the aristocratic Moore and rough around the edges Connery. Brosnan may have been the best if he could have found a way out of his Remington Steele contract (Brosnan was to replace Moore). |

i like Brosnan the best. i really don't like the new guy and unless jessica simpson is the new bond girl and they finally show some boobies in it, i don't even think i'll go see it.
daniel craig is a complete miscast, in my opinion. he looks like a white trash drunk wife-beater. he has no class, which is so essential in the Bond character.

I voted for Roger Moore, but would have loved to see Clive Owen as the next James Bond. I think he did a good job in "The Hire" series.

Sean Connery's got to be the one. I believe the Poll proves it.

Sean Connery is by far my favorite Bond character. He's a smart actor, and he pulls off the one-liner witticisms the best IMO. The Roger Moore era had better tech gadgets, but my favorite episode was Never Say Never Again (Sean Connery's last).
By far the worst was Timothy Dalton who was striving so hard to be a sensitive, kind-hearted and politically correct man that he was as boring as hell. |

I am a great fan of the early Connery's and most of Roger's films too.
Pierce was ok, but didn't have the screen presence of either Sean or Roger at their peak. Roger did some fantastic acting and doesn't really get enough credit. - the scene in the train trailer in Octopussy when he confronts the renegade Russian - or the Kamal Kahn back gammon dialogue in Octopussy were amongst the best of the whole series. As a test watch - Spy who loved me and or Goldfinger and compare them to Brosnan's best effort which is my opinion was Tommorrow Never Dies. Craig could be good. He has lot of presence on screen, has the best physique by miles of any of the actors and has a good voice. So he might surprise us all. |

There can be only one...Sean Connery of course...he was the one who came out with the "martini, shaken not stirred" arguably one of the most Bond-esque quip...2nd runner up will have to be Pierce Brosnan. Roger Moore is almost too comedic sometimes to be Bond...

He might be a good actor and have a good voice, but he just doesn't look like James Bond should look. He looks like he should be the main henchman for the bad guy in a James Bond movie.
