Scumbag Geico
I've had Geico for 14 years and I've been paying $1,200 every 6 months.
I go online and get a quote from them w/ same coverage, etc. and it comes to $700 every 6 months. I called Geico and asked them what the hell and they adjust my coverage to 700 every 6 months. ......................... |

SO... what your saying is you saved 15% or more in 15 minutes?
Its common for prices to be different by the method used to buy the insurance. Directly is often cheaper because they don't have to pay the dealer. Last edited by Pixel8ed; 04-25-2017 at 10:12 AM.. |

You gotta check rates every year. My wife does and always gets our company to go lower.

I've had one place beat USAA's rates once, on one car I owned. I didn't switch because the icing is that USAA's responsiveness and service pretty much can't be beat. #USAAforLife

I had the same issue with progressive. You need to say the buzz words. I was pissed too as i had previously called wanting to know why my rates were so high. I got nothing but BS. Once i called and said I got a better rate they cut my rate in half. Yes, I'm happy they cut my rate and put me in a different category but why didnt they do it automatically or when I previously called to ask?

Every company is like that. You have to keep up on things. A company isn't going to tell their customer that they can get a lower rate.
It's how 99% of businesses do business. All about the $$$$ so they can give it to their CEO/VP/whatever as they need to have their 6 figure monthly and 7 figure yearly bonus checks. My wife and I call Comcast every year to see what promotional deals they have since they'll jack up price once the deal is over. |
