Recommend a cell phone
Dropped my phone & cracked the screen today so new phone time!
It's a Droid Turbo. I am only interested in an Android phone. Would like to get another Motorola or perhaps a Samsung. Looking for something with comparable, or better, battery life (3900 mAh) and camera. EDIT: It's going to be between the Turbo 2, Moto Z Force or S8+. Not sure whether or not the Z Force is worth the extra $200 over the Turbo 2 and I'm not sure if the S8+ screen will be able to survive if I drop it. Would you call the Turbo rugged or nice? Looking for comparable, but better since we have better tech now. The Turbo does what I need it to. I don't want a huge phone I cannot fit in my pocket or in cup holders while using GPS etc

Within the last 3 years, I have a Samsung Galaxy, Motorola Droid, then an iPhone now. These are all company phones but if I had my personal choice, I would get an android based phone.

Sony Xperia Z5, not the newest but very good, waterproof and nice battery capacity.
Give a sh*t to iPhones, they're overestimated and more lifestyle than phone.

You can never argue that with Apple you get the smoothest software experience and continued device support. But an Android device, I dont care what it is, it's a laggy piece of shit after 12 months and doesn't even receive software updates anymore I've been on both sides. Coming from a few Nexus' in the past. So I know what the "smoothest" version of android is like. OP, if you want to use Android, I'd go with a Pixel from Google. You'll actually get security updates etc more than once a year lol.

I'm leaning to the Pixel as my new phone.
I'm coming from the S4, so likely a decent upgrade, though the S4 does everything I need, so I've never seen the point of upgrading. Just that I wish to switch providers now and might as well get a new phone out of it. |
