75in + 4k Television questions

I'm looking to pickup a 75in or so 4k tv in the next week or two... not looking to purchase the LG OLED tv since I don't watch it enough to make it worth while... any thoughts or suggestions?

I've had this one for a few months and overall I'm happy with it.

I'm looking for a 4K projector for my media room but this one is good for my daily. There is not even close to enough 4K content, so its kind of a waste. I use AMZN streaming and have some movies, but I'm mostly watching freaking 1080i on Cable TV.

I have the Sony 850C and am blown away by the picture quality. House of Cards looks insanely good.

I have Sony with Android OS. Absolutely the worst TV I have ever bought. It locks up constantly. The OS is up to date and I even have a direct network connection to it. Streaming is super painful. I thought it was due to wifi signal, but not the case.

These days prices are so cheap and the quality has sure gone up with any tv you choose. That being said I went for lg oled last year, with over a billion colors, infinite contrast, 240hz and the darkest blacks its an amazing tv. But for 75 inches oled will be pricey and led tv's will be not the best but still impressive. 75inch is huge, check the link below, many are under 1500!!! Check some review websites and choose within your budget, went with oled because it just wins so much praise I had to experience. Even on 1080p, people think its 4k the picture is just crystal clear and bright!

While the content for 4k is very limited, its coming on slowly but thru the smart tv you can buy or rent many 4k movies but monthly services like netflix and amazon are horrible. Only 4k ones on netflix are mainly there own shows and on amazon there free 4k is only like 10 movies and 90% are crap besides spectre.

https://slickdeals.net/newsearch.php...searchin=first

You will be happy with whatever you choose, newer leds performance has gone up since years back!

If you're looking for a value 4K with HDR the Samsung KU6300 is a good value. It has been replaced by the MU6300 a couple months ago so you should be able to find a 75" discounted. I have the 70" version and really love it. I would sneak a 75" in if I had room but 70" is as big as I can fit. The only real drawback is that there are only 3 hdmi ports and only one of them is the hdr port. I fixed that just by buying a 4 port rocketfish hdmi switch that can handle that throughput.

Just got a LG OLED, definitely worth the money.
I got mine off a good seller on eBay that had pretty unbeatable prices on tons of TV's, just have to wait for freight across the country (can take a few weeks).
Here is his store if you have any interest (http://www.ebay.com/usr/ielectrica?_...p2047675.l2559)

So it seems like Samsung is still the one to get if I don't want to spend for the LG OLED... I couldn't seem to find a 75in OLED but I may have overlooked...

Mainly looking for a solid tv that'll last 5 yrs, and it's use will mainly be for streaming, sports, and occasionally a movie (have projector)

thanks for the links. I was surprised to see 300$ for 65" must have been a unicorn deal, great find! even though the ones you posted are not 300$ they are still pretty good prices, I personally have a issue with buying refurbished (shouldn't I know) but these are some really good deals. . I have 2 additional guest rooms I am in need of putting TVs in and think ill go with vizio the deals are to good to pass up especially for a TV that may be only turned on a few times a year. have a good 4th

Have you considered maybe picking up a low hour plasma used? For sports and depending on model for movies are still rated the best. Only thing on the market today that beats it would be oled. You can probably find a couple year old 65" Panasonic plasma for under a grand and would be the best bang for your buck.

75" oled will be very pricey because that size its the 2017 models. Lg is 77" at 15k from bestbuy and sony's is 20k!!! At sony.com. The lg one is 20k as well but bestbuy discounts 5k lol

https://www.sony.com/electronics/televisions/a1e-series

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-77-cl...KZ4aAuSL8P8HAQ

As stated the newer led's are still great tv's! If sports higher the hz!! Most cheap deals are 60hz but now now im sure 120hz is standard.

Yea refurbished can be scary but they are fixed back to factory spec. Especially if only a tv not used much the prices are too good.

But you guys need to get an oled though, picture is crazy!! Infinite contrast! A billion colors !!!

The description for two different models of the same size tv are the same:

  • 2160p (4K) resolution with HDR
  • OLED TV: Perfect black - each individual pixel can turn on/off
  • Smart TV, webOS 3.5, web browser included

Can somebody tell me the difference between the following models?

OLED65E7P
OLED65C7P
