So I just recently financed a repair (around $600) for my car at Big O Tires and the employees were helpful in explaining how it all works and I understood 95% of what they told me because it was the first time i'm getting a credit card.
But I was unsure about one thing; If I were to finance something else for my car (in this case a BPC tune to help performace and the company provides financing for like 6 months) Do I get to use the same credit card Big O tires gave me? Or do I get a new one from from BPC? Thank you. I don't plan to make another purchase until I pay off my repairs. |

What is this "finance a repair" that you talk of? Do you mean you took a loan out to fix your car?

To OP if it's a store card you can only use it at said store. If it's a store card/visa you can use it wherever. |

Op, no offense, but if you do not understand stuff like this, I would reccomend sitting down with someone and having a DEEP conversation about personal finances. You can find your self in major financial issues if you do this wrong.

So how much are you paying in interest and when does it start being charged?
Also, OP has never had a credit card before, owns a BMW but can't afford tires, and is asking a car forum for financial advice. I sit here scratching my head. |

I wonder if they explained to him that if not paid in full by(insert whatever timeframe given), he will be backed charged for the interest for the entire period at a RIDICULOUS rate.

Didn't say I was buying tires. But if you are gonna assume it's gonna make an ASS(of)U(and)ME Was supposed to get my pads replaced since they had a groupon for $85 but it didn't go as planned. Had my brake pads and rotors replaced with the brake fluid flushed which cost $600 (6months no interest) My lower control arms need to be fix and was qouted $1400, didn't have the money so I applied for a credit card and was approved for $700 (which I used for the $600 repair) I don't plan to make another purchase with the card until I'm done paying the $600. So all i'm asking is that can I use the same card for a different purchase. He said it was a Citi Bank credit card. Still scratching? |

I trust you know if you don't pay it off in the 6 months you're subject to 29.99% interest from the date of purchase. Glad to hear your plan is to pay it off.
Why would you ever want to use this card ever again (if possible) at these rates? Go apply for a free annual fee card with a low interest rate and use that as needed going forward. If you are financially savvy you can take advantage of these offers but it can also be a very slippery slope of disaster. I sense you are the latter. Be careful! Enjoy your new purchase!! |

You probably can't afford a car, let alone a BMW.
