I sort of cringed a little bit.
I mean it isn't so bad, but it does have some echoes of Chevrolet SS and Infiniti Q50 which are not exactly the strongest sport sedans out there to evoke with your brand new entry into a very competitive segment. I'm sure it'll be a fine automobile and probably offer good value. But on looks at least, this isn't going to excite the crowd much. Maybe performance will be noteworthy, but more than likely it'll just be acceptable - not the worst but not the best either. |

I liked this car the first time I saw it when it was called the Infiniti G37.

At first glance I figured it was a LCI Q50 or something. |

Competition is good. I suspect that new Genesis G70 most likely will be faster than F30 340i based on recent Motortrend review of 2018 Kia Stinger GT which got the same powertrain. It did respectable 4.8 sec 0-60 and 13.3 sec 1/3 mile. So assuming G70 will be lighter it should be quicker. Nothing surprising, those days BMW makes FWD vehicles and Hyundai's 6-cyl. are faster than BMW 6-cyl. It's about time to step in BMW...

It's definitely an attractive car that looks befitting of its future price.
With that being said, it clearly borrows design elements from other cars. Tail lights are 2-series, side fenders are 4-series, front is Infiniti Q50, rear decklid is C-class, C-pillar is Lexus. |

Honestly I like it.
However it will be interesting to see the cost and how it drives... I've owned Korean cars before and while they always looked good on paper they never really had the fined tuned dynamics down and for whatever reason I always grew out of love with them quickly! |

Off to a good start. Hyundai doing a lot of braintrust poaching and it shows.

That can be says about any car brand today, they all copy each other. As long as Hyundai copies the best parts I'm fine with that.
