I went to the court house to re-new my passport a month ago, it will be here in 6 weeks. They can do it in 2 weeks with extra fee. I dont think they can do it in 5 days.

Yes, you need passport for Canada, or you can bring Certified Birth Cert. & Photo ID, Proof of Citizenship Info. along if you dont get your passport in time. Good luck....

The miami passport agency is the closest one to you. Call them and ask. I'm pretty sure they can issue a passport the same day if you demonstrate the need. Be ready to pay for it though.

CANADA _ Passport or proof of U.S. citizenship such as a birth certificate, naturalization certificate, and photo ID required. Minors (under 16) traveling alone or in someone else's custody must present written authorization, signed before a notary, from the parent(s) or guardian. Visas are not required. Canadian immigration officials at ports of entry will issue persons planning to stay longer than 180 days a visitor's record. Anyone with a criminal record (including a DWI charge) should contact the Canadian Embassy or nearest Consulate General before travel. U.S. citizens entering Canada from a third country must have a valid passport. HIV testing required for resident applicants who are over 15. A temporary resident applicant requires immigration medical examination if stay exceeds 6 months or seeking to work in Canada. For student or business travel, check with the Canadian Embassy, 501 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20001 (202/682-1740) or nearest Consulate General: CA (213/346-2701), MI (313/567-2085), NY (212/596-1700 or 716/858-9501), or WA (206/443-1375). This leads me to believe you don't need a passport as long as you have proof of US citizenship and a valid photo ID. The passport agency can likely confirm this.

there are places that do it in like 2 days. to get it here in 4-6 days it cost 320 dollars. so to get it here in 2-4 days, would be even waaay more.
I checked the customs and border patrol website, and it says that you DONT need a passport, if you have a photo id, and birth certificate. which we have.

it's called fast track or express or some similar name. my ex-gf had to do it. expect to be raped. iirc, it's around $300.

you don't need a passport to get into canada. a drivers license and birth certificate will work.

Google around for it. I got mine in a couple of weeks, but you can do it much faster if you can spend the $$.

thanks again guys. they arent getting passports. they are gonna just go with birth certificates, and id's. and get passports the regular cheap old fashioned way, for future use. they are changing the laws though on dec 31 2006, so expect different rules for next year.
