10th Anniversary of the BMW Welt...

Last weekend marked the 10th Anniversary of the BMW Welt. It's hard to believe it's already been ten years. Time does fly!! Since the doors opened to the BMW Welt... it has become Bavaria's number one tourist attraction. The Welt now see's over 3 Million visitors every year. That's just slightly more than the number two destination... The Neuschwanstein Castle... aka THE Castle. I would bet that most people while on ED will head down to Neuschwanstein Castle or the 'Ring, or both!!

I really wanted to attend the festivities... but I could not make it. I asked a friend and fellow forum member: ChrisM135i if he could attend since he lives in Munich and also consider's the Welt his second home.

Chris took some awesome close up shots of the Hommage cars that BMW setup in the Welt's theater room. I was also able to find some nice photos on BMW's social media sites of this weekend and also of some memorable events in recent years at the Welt. The guy who proposed to his future wife inside the Welt. The royal couple of the Netherlands to came on an official visit, the first ///M Day - delivery and so on. On the Friday before, BMW kicked off the weekend by delivering their first customer car race cars of the new M4 GT4. This is a turn key ready race car for the professional racer for less than ~$200K. I think this was really a cool way to delivery these one off race cars.
