M Performance Parts + Insurance?

So I recently just bought a used 2015 M3 with about $7k to $8k worth of M Performance parts.

These parts aren't cheap, especially the M Performance exhaust. I was wondering what you guys do for second hand purchases with parts already on the car. What do you do to ensure they get replaced in case of an accident?

I think as long as it was port-installed and on your window sticker it's covered.

If it is aftermarket you need to inform your insurance company about each part and their value.

I would call your company anyway to confirm.

Check your policy.. it usually covers some amount of permanently installed aftermarket accessories. Probably not enough so they might need to add a rider for them.
