Unhappy Got a ticket!

Hey Everyone...I am new to the States from Canada...I now live in VA. Well I went to visit my family and got a ticket on the way back from Toronto yest in Pennsylvania. I was going 82mph in a 65mph. The trooper reduced it to 75mph. Anyway the ticket was $130. A few questions....

How many points will I lose?
Will the insurance company "punish" me more for getting a ticket in a differant state?

Thx everyone!

M.

I don't know about Pennsylvania or Virginia, but here in Georgia a speeding ticket doesn't go on your license unless it is at least 14mph over the limit. Since insurance companies are nationwide, I would think that rule might apply everywhere. With the ticket just be 10 mph over the limit, it is possible that it won't get transferred over to your Virginia driver's license at all. I don't know for sure, though. Every state is different.

you know if you put this thread in the off-topic section, it would get more attention.
