Looking to bite another cell phone fruit.......wait that didn't come out right

So looking to get out of apple and into something else so Im here pleading to the masses for input......what would your go to phone be for a 2018 smartphone and why?

I'm eyeing a few right now. I found the iPhone X not a good value for the features. The only reason I'd buy it would be for the ecosystem/integration with other apple products. The 3d facial recognition is awesome though. All phones need this type of unlock tech in the future.

The OnePlus 5T seems to be getting a ton of attention on YouTube by all the tech reviewers and is half the cost with same features. https://oneplus.net/5t

I'm also looking at the Pixel 2 XL and patiently waiting on the S9 although not expecting anything drastic. Biggest gripe about the Samsung phones is their shitty GUI touchwiz that's slapped on top of Android.

The upcoming one plus 6 maybe worth the wait.
Just researching Huawei P11-20 and they also look promising.

What do you hate? only thing I can think you might hate is the size. I think they need one with a bigger screen, which will come later this year.
