Oh hell yeah!
Joekerr you're a horrible person and if we ever sit in a car together, you're not allowed to touch the radio! I'm clearly going through a midlife crisis and it can be seen especially in my playlists. I've always been on the heavier side of the music spectrum but in the last few years it's gone darker and darker. Since my kids are small, I try to find music that's appropriate for their ears. That's a song even Joe can listen. That's a band I hated for years until we moved to Seattle and I finally got what all that whining was about. I liked a boy on third grade until I found out he was a pantera fan but now I'm so old the redneck thing kinda works. Everyone needs a little pop music in their lives. Finns like the sound of silence. My son saw the singer in a grocery store and thought he was Santa. I adore that band. They have hilarious lyrics about serious topics like the suicide rate of young men and depression. Anyone who enjoys the heavier tunes has to by international law love the rammies. They too have the comedy aspect under control. I'm not sure how to label Danzig. My kids tolerate him, I consider his voice porn and he takes himself so seriously it's kind of funny. At times I go soft. This one doesn't exactly tickle my heavy bone (I thought that was funny!) but I can't list music worth listening without putting this one in. It's my cooking song:) I'm a complete dork. One of my most pathetic deeds was because of this song. I was driving through Canada, and arriving to thunder bay. The clouds were gathering so I circled around the city just so I could enter it with the thunder while playing that. That was about three hours well spent! :) At times I do go heavy on the lyrics and then the Doors show up on my playlist. Anyway. Joe is not allowed in my car ever and Canadians in general should stfu about music or denounce his blender buying ass!

My youngest told me to say sorry and it's not okay to be mean to Canadians just because one of you committed a really bad thing. He is five so he has no understanding about your cruelty since I've always sheltered him from the likes of Alanis Morisette.
So I'm sorry, I was mean. Note to Robin: See, even moms say sorry when we misbehave (that means being bad). You're not allowed to read bimmerpost anymore but your English is pretty good these days! Here is your two favorite songs and then I'm taking the computer away from you. Bimmerpost is not for kids.

Seems like we are mixing up metal and hard rock.
For Metal, to me there are only two good bands, the rest are noise: Slayer and Metallica, their early albums are the best! |

I'm bad at stuffing music under a box but Metallica is like lukewarm milk: Only Canadians would drink that. Kscarrol: That's just cruelty.

I'm sometimes mean to your mom too which isn't very nice either, but she knows I respect her for who she is and what she does even though I disagree with her in a number of areas. Should you wish to get your mother a nice gift, I've heard she would like a bag of milk (must be a clear plastic bag) if they sell milk in such a way in Finland. |

This just sounded right the other day. Good find above on the "Du Hast". I listened to that last week for the first time in a year or so.

I know Judas Priest lyrics have an all new meaning since Rob Halford "came out". And I thought it would be funny to post the Tesla video in the "Tesla will be gone in 10 years" thread.

I think we two might survive this diplomatic disaster but I'll do better in hiding Bp from my little nazi. Real dodger: Jp works always. It's one of those bands one is obligated to love.

I have always liked heavy but the closest i have come to proper Metal is Alice in Chains. 'Would?' and 'Angry Chair' being favourites.
Anyone here heard of The Mark of Cain? Aussie bank often compared to Helmet. Have a listen .... This one is not really close to metal but it's their best song ..... |

Few months back I viewed on YouTube - I think it was Metallica’s guitarist Hammett doing an acoustical of Enter Sandman - but I can’t retrieve it now - anyone have any idea or recommendation of who else it could have been ?
It might have even been posted on Jalopnik a month or so back. |

My son has his annual big doctor visits in a few weeks and as always, I stop sleeping basically before those because I'm a huge wimp. I'm too tired to read for a second night in a row so some mild music for relaxation purposes is needed! My spouse loves especially the few minutes when I fall asleep and start singing in my sleep the song I have playing. The band Mokoma is banned from my nightime playlists as is Rammie due to my inability to stay quiet and I'm a horrible singer so it's always a real treat to him to be woken up by me. Tonight I need some rest so ridiculous music is required. Dimmu borgir will be playing. I can't stand the band so I'm hoping it'll put me to a coma like sleep.
