Pics of your BMW on Facebook

You guys think it's wrong to post pics of your E92/E90 on Facebook? Wrong in the sense that you'd be showing off, or appear snobby. I wanted to post a pic of my car..but it may attract the wrong attention?? (being that most college aged kids can never afford such a car).

I see kids posting pics of their crappy Civic or V6 Mustang, but that seems OK since they are cheap cars.

I'm not young enough to care about Facebook or MySpace, but if you post it only because you like it then go for it. If you are posting to be self-centered, then it's sad. If you honestly like something, you shouldn't let the opinions of others sway you.

Heck, I use a pic of my car as a spray for TF2!

I dont think theres anything wrong with posting your bimmer or any car of yours on facebook.

I would be posting it because I love my car and feel its picture worthy.

I put em up on my facebook just cuz I really like the pic and I'm proud of my photography skills! everyone who knows me n who I care about KNOW that I have this car... who would I be showing it off to?!

True. Cept most of my friends on FB I never hang out with or really know personally. Whatever. I'll do what I want.

My car has it's own facebook. I don't really use fb, it was kind of a joke. My wife said if I used facebook more I'd be in a relationship with my car. So I made it a profile and married it.

I have a couple pictures up there that I thought were great shots of the car, only to compliment my selection of great photography.

i create albums of my car on facebook. its just an another way of backing up photos. i create albums for all my pics not only cars.

Dude, if you are worried, put them in an album and only allow the people (buddies) you want them to see.. i.e. Limited profile...

I don't see anything wrong with it, or view it as bragging. You can only tell if someones bragging by the way the speak of their car(s).

I have pics of mine, and pics of my prior truck. People who know me, know I suffer from car disease.

I have not put pics on my facebook because of that reason. Most of the people I graduated college or highschool with can't afford a car like mine so I don't want to rub it in.

It is all about what makes you comfortable. I have a pic of it on MySpace and I have not gotten any bad comments about it.

people would think you are showing off or looking for validation.
some people will immediately translate it into: "oh, look at this dude. he can't get ass on his own, so he is using his ride to pull chicks", even though its not your intention.

if you had a beater, or non-luxury car, it will be fine though. it will keep haters away.
i'm keeping it low key
