OT - C63 AMG vs Z06

I know this is not Bimmer related but I got to share with you guys - a buddy just picked up a new C63 - he wanted to do some pulls against my Z06 - here you go...excuse the sound....I think my 335 Procede will hold it's own against the C63.

The Corvette - 7.0 Liter V8: 505 hp and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. Correct?

Impressive, make sure you run your buddy again after he has 5000+ miles on his car. Might be closer after that motor breaks in, but you should still walk him very easily.

This is comply off topic, but I see that you had a 997TT. How would you compare your 997 to your C6 Z06, just curious?

+1. Takes a while for this 6.2L AMG engines to fully break in.

Very different animals - the Z06 feels like it pulls like a freight train from 0-xxx, the turbo lag was annoying on the TT, but pulled like hell as well...and the all-wheel drive handling on the TT was phenomenal...although the Z06 holds it own as well....
My analogy - the TT is a like a superfit German Olympic skier while the Z06 is a hot American supermodel - both excellent lays, but a different experience nonetheless .

The Z06 has a nuclear bomb as an engine.

The only thing this vid could prove to me is that both cars attract dumbasses who like to street race and go to the 1/4 mile.

I've owned a Z06, although it was a C5, and now I have a C63.
Generally, it's the same knuckle-dragging crowd. Unfortunate.

I will say, the Vette guys I roadraced with (that's a road course, you know, where you have to turn and know how to balance a car on the edge, oh and it's legal and takes some skill) are some of the greatest guys I've met in the car community. But they are the minority.... There are also plenty of intelligent AMG owners, but there is a lot of talk on that board about going to the dragstrip and adding forced induction. Oh and bigger SHINY RIMZ LOL.

Yes, the Z06 is just incredible. I have the 1LZ so it weighs in at 3150lbs. and has dynoed at 445rwhp. It sounds very intimidating also with the Corsa exhaust. The engine at 7000rpm's is just screaming and the car takes off like a bat! There's no comparison with a C63, it's just not in the same league.

Putting a C63 against the CO6 is a bit unfair. By the way, the 335 will NOT keep up at all with a C63 and niether will my own E92 M3. That is more apples to apples. Of course, as everyone says, the M3 is a tad better on bends, etc.., etc...!

I am sure some of the modded 335s on this site could take your M3 so I wouldn't count him out till you know what he has done.

Sure, and a moded VW Bug would kill the 335. I was clearly talking stock as that is what the C63 and the CO6 in this comp are. I generally compare apples to apples. If he donsn't say what he has, then I assume its stock.

I think a chipped C63 Amg would be better comparison to a stock Z06.....then too, it would be Zo6 race to win...its way too light!

PS...the video aint working!!!

Yea but aren't the chassis just so different that it makes it difficult to compare. Other than just power perhaps.
